Paul Armanasco

Paul Armanasco is a podiatric foot and ankle surgeon, who consults from the same rooms as the Southwest Foot and Ankle Centre in Bunbury and also in Busselton. He completed fellowship exams and attaining specialist registration in 2012. He trained with the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons between 2006 and 2012.During this time he undertook rotation at the Great Western Hospital National Health Service (NHS) trust Orthopaedic department in the UK, completed a number of international and interstate rotations, and attended extensive foot and ankle surgical training in Australia. Throughout his training he was involved in over 2500 foot and ankle surgical procedures. He has presented in many conferences on foot and ankle surgery and has also published a number of peer reviewed papers on foot surgery.

Located at 16 Carey St Bunbury the recently refurbished rooms of Mr Paul Armanasco Podiatric Surgeon offer accessible, comfortable facilities for confidential presurgical consultation and post-surgical review.Surgery is performed by Mr Armanasco, supported by a surgical team including an Anaesthetist, Surgical Assistant and Theatre Nurse, primarily at St John of God Bunbury a 140 bed-private hospital and a leading provider of health care in the south-west of Western Australia.

Podiatric Surgery

Podiatric Surgeons are podiatrists who have completed additional extensive, post-graduate medical and surgical training, which enables them to perform reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. Podiatric Surgery is an approved speciality by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency. In Australia, podiatric surgeons principally operate in private hospitals within a surgical team. Foot and ankle surgery may be performed as day surgery, or overnight stay if necessary. Surgery is performed under local or general anaesthesia.
